Portuguese international Diogo Jota has been a hit at Liverpool on the back of his big money move from fellow Premier League team Wolverhampton Wanderers. Jota left Wolves to sign for the Reds for an initial fee of £41m plus £4m in add-ons. It has been money well spent after he became the fifth fastest player to hit 10 goals in the Premier League in the colours of Liverpool. It took Jota 20 games to reach double figures in the Premier League for the Reds.

Jota made an instant impact at Liverpool after finding the back of the net on his first appearance for the club. He scored eight minutes into his debut having come on as a second half substitute. His goal clinched a 3-1 win over Arsenal in what was a league encounter.

Portuguese attacker Jota is fifth on the list of players that took the least games to reach ten Premier League goals for Liverpool alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge, Fernando Torres and Robbie Fowler. Egyptian international Salah beats Fernando Torres and others as it took him just 13 games to score ten Premier League goals on the back of his transfer from Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma.

Jota might not be as prolific as the likes of Mohamed Salah and Fernando Torres but he has been able to score on a regular basis. He already has two goals in his three Premier League matches this season in addition to his 14 goals in all competitions.

Liverpool began the new season with a convincing 3-0 away win over Norwich City and Jota scored one of the goals. He started the game against the Yellow Canaries. Jota also began the 2-0 win at home to Burnley and he was the recipient of the opening goal of the game. Jota came on as a substitute for the injured Roberto Firmino in the last league game at home to Chelsea.
