Florent Malouda enjoying his football in Egypt

Former Lyon and Chelsea player, FlorentMalouda is currently playing in Egypt with WadiDegla. Previously the former French international was playing in the Indian Super League with Delhi Dynamos.

FlorentMalouda came to the big stage in the French league when he was playing with Guingamp. He formed an excellent partnership with Didier Drogba in attack, and together they manage some important goal for the French side.

His performance with Guingamp caught the eyes of Olympique Lyonnais, and he was signed during the 2002-03 season. He managed 181 appearances with Lyon and scored 32 goals in the process. He even won a man-of-the-match award for his display against Real Madrid in the Champions League. With Olympique Lyonnais, he managed to win the league title 4 times.

With interest from big clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid, FlorentMalouda stated that he wanted to leave the French side at the end of the 2006-2007 season. Ultimately he signed for Chelsea in 2007 and enjoyed some success there. He managed to make 228 appearances for the London club and netted 45 goals during this period. With Chelsea, he won one Premier League title, 3 FA Cup and 1 Champions League title.

On 2013, he was released by Chelsea, and he signed for the Turkish side, Trabzonspor where he managed 29 appearances and scoring seven goals in the process. Later he signed for Metz where made 31 appearances and scored three goals for the French side. In 2015, he joined the Indian Super League where he made ten appearances before leaving for Egypt.

FlorentMalouda is currently playing for WadiDegla in the Egyptian Premier League. His new side is struggling in the league and will need all of Malouda’s experience to help them move out of their current situation.
